Giants add to slumping Orioles' rough stretch

San Francisco Giants defeat Baltimore Orioles, 6-3, for fourth straight win

The San Francisco Giants extended their winning streak to four games on Monday night with a 6-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles at Oracle Park.

The Giants took an early lead in the bottom of the first inning on a two-run home run by Joc Pederson. The Orioles answered back in the top of the second inning with a solo home run by Ryan Mountcastle, but the Giants regained the lead in the bottom of the inning on a sacrifice fly by Brandon Crawford.

The Giants added to their lead in the bottom of the third inning on an RBI single by Wilmer Flores. The Orioles cut the lead to 4-3 in the top of the fourth inning on an RBI groundout by Ramon Urias, but the Giants put the game away with a two-run home run by Mike Yastrzemski.

Giants starter Alex Cobb allowed three runs on seven hits over five innings of work. He struck out five batters and walked one. The Orioles bullpen allowed three runs on five hits over the final four innings of the game.

The Giants have now won four straight games and are 15-15 on the season. The Orioles have lost four straight games and are 12-18 on the season.
